ABOUT MEMarie Landau
Poet, scholar, editor I am a writer and editor living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have an MA in literature from the University of New Mexico and a BA in liberal studies from The Evergreen State College, where I first cut my teeth as a copyeditor for the student newspaper. Since then, I have edited professionally for news organizations, advertising firms, book publishers, and individual writers seeking help with their manuscripts. For five years, I worked as a manuscript editor for a university press, where I copyedited and proofread books in a wide array of subjects and genres, including history, anthropology, archaeology, literary criticism, fiction, poetry, and memoir. Since finishing graduate school, I have also turned seriously to my own creative writing. Visit my Publications page to see what kind of poems I've been sending out into the world! Editing ServicesCopyediting can range from relatively light to intensive, depending on the nature of the project and what stage the manuscript is in. After reviewing a sample of your project, I will work with you to determine what level of editing it needs and what kind of turnaround you can expect.
